Official Press Release – ANAHEIM HOTEL ADDS VALUE TO LOCATION
ANAHEIM HOTEL ADDS VALUE TO LOCATION
ANAHEIM, California (October 25, 2012) – As ticket prices at Disneyland Resort continue to increase, more and more travelers are looking to find better value in their lodging to offset their costs. Visitors to the Anaheim resort area are looking for the best values while staying within walking distance to the Park. A popular option across the street is Ramada Maingate at the Park, who continues to add value to their property by announcing their redevelopment project for 2012/2013.
The redevelopment plan, which consists of two phases, includes the destruction of two buildings and erecting two new buildings. The first phase, expected to begin early November 2012, is the replacement of the 2-story building on the North-East side with a 4-story building that will house brand new rooms and suites. The second phase, which has an projected start date of March 2013, will replace the front building facing Harbor Blvd with another 4-story structure including more guest rooms and suites, a new breakfast room, an addition of a fitness center, a meeting center, and a sun deck on the roof.
“Over the past couple of years in an effort to make our property the best on the strip, we renovated our guest rooms, and put in a brand new pool and play area,” according to Brandon Garr, owner of Ramada Maingate at the Park. “I’m excited; this redevelopment project is a continuation of that effort.”
Even with three Disney-owned hotels just across the street, Garr believes that tourists are looking for value when considering places to stay.
General Manager Marshall Weinstein agrees, “We have a prime location across Disneyland’s main gate and we offer free parking, wifi, and breakfast, with no resort fee, so I think we’re already the best value in town. With the new buildings and amenities, the guests’ choice will be even easier.”
The redevelopment project and construction is expected to take place during normal business hours and though many of their guests have shown tremendous brand loyalty, as evidenced by their growing Facebook fan base, some have expressed concern over how the project will affect their stay during the construction process.
“We’ve been upfront about the upcoming changes and in return our guests have been supportive and encouraging,” noted Jessica Montgomery, Assistant General Manager. “We plan on running business as usual which means the guests’ comfort remains a priority and we’re going to do our best to minimize any inconveniences.”
Ramada Maingate at the Park is a family-owned hotel across the street from Disneyland. The property boasts 186 beautiful rooms and the area’s largest family-friendly pool.
